Job Summary / 職務概要
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will support our operations in Japan by aligning HR strategies with business needs and objectives.
This role requires a deep understanding of Japanese labor laws, culture, and talent dynamics, especially in the semiconductor sector. The successful candidate will also bridge communication between local teams and China headquarters, drive talent ini6a6ves, and manage compliance and employee engagement in a cross-cultural environment.
I. Strategic Business Partnership / ビジネス戦略パートナーシップ
• Provide HR solutions tailored to the Japanese market, aligned with labor laws and cultural practices.
• Communicate HR insights and local updates regularly to global headquarters.
• Identify business challenges while respecting Japanese workplace norms such as employment customs and decision-making practices.
II. Local Talent Development / 現地人材育成
• Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts at the Japan site with localized strategies.
• Manage hiring channels and ensure recruitment compliance with Japanese employment laws.
• Build a local talent pool with a focus on technical talent in semiconductor manufacturing.
III. Cross-Cultural Performance Management / 異文化間のパフォーマンス管理
• Implement performance systems adapted for Japanese employee expectations.
• Develop localized goal-setting and feedback mechanisms to enhance performance.
• Design career development plans that integrate corporate standards with local aspirations and objectives.
IV. Employee Rela3ons & Culture Building / 従業員関係と文化構築
• Develop effec6ve communication channels between Japan site employees and global leadership.
• Facilitate cultural sensitivity training to promote collaboration between Japanese and non-Japanese staff.
• Launch engagement programs aligned with Japanese norms, including workplace improvement and localized benefits.
V. Compliance & Risk Management / コンプライアンスとリスク管理
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, including the Labor Standards Act and the Equal Employment Opportunity Law.
• Build early warning systems for labor risks and handle employee disputes proactively.
Qualifications / 応募資格
• Native-level Japanese (JLPT N1) and business-level Korean; language cer6fica6on required.
• Minimum 5 years of HRBP experience in semiconductor or precision manufacturing industries.
• Deep understanding of Japanese labor law, pay systems, and seniority practices.
• Proven experience managing cross-cultural teams and aligning local and global HR practices.
