What You'll Do: The Marketing & Sales Assistant role provides essential support to Triton Container Leasing and Sales teams. This role involves close coordination with customers, depots, vendors, and internal teams, both locally and globally. This role will act as key point of contact for operational, administrative, and logistical matters requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly to inquires related to availability, repairs, trucking, and documentation. Key responsibilities include: Marketing & Sales Support:
Respond to customer inquiries in 日本ese, including bookings, sale orders, availability, technical details, outstanding bookings, invoicing queries, etc. Some queries will require assistance from the ops/account manager or technical team.
Inputting the contract details into COTW.
Prepare and submit 用途外申請 (youtogai shinsei) documentation to 日本ese Customs upon customer request.
Arrange 管理者更 (kanrisha henkou) documentation for 日本ese customs.
Provide customer support for leasing/TCS customers in 日本ese language: pick-up/redelivery depot details, available pick-up timing etc.
Monitor open bookings and follow up with customers.
Support on additional projects and tasks as required.
Operations Support:
Maintain strong working relationships and daily communication with the depot key personnel
Handle daily inquiries from 日本ese depots in 日本ese.
Arrange local trucking (drayage) with trucking companies.
Arrange empty repo and related shipping documents.
Manage redelivery arrangements, including DD documentation in 日本ese.
Issue manual invoices for 日本ese consumption tax related to repair costs in Trifleet.
Issue manual invoices for depots, trucking companies, survey companies in Trifleet.
Assist with accounting & office administrative duties as required.
What We're Looking For:
College degree or equivalent work experience in logistics, shipping or container leasing industry preferred.
General knowledge of the container/shipping industry or genuine interest/eagerness to learn.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both 日本ese and English required.
Strong administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel preferred.
Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, high-energy level and positive attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and with time constraints.
Proactive and able to multi-task, managing and prioritizing multiple tasks to completion.
Ability to build and maintain good customer and vendor relations.
Client-focused team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Must be at a commutable distance to the Tokyo office
